re:member

"re:member" is a multidisciplinary artwork by Rozina Pátkai, in which sound, moving image, and chlorophyll prints created with the help of sunlight form a dreamlike memorial

The leaves preserve the memory of family members who perished during the Holocaust, making the tree a family tree that conveys the message of remembrance and belonging.

"Re:member" is an installation, a tree whose leaves are chlorophyll prints made using an alternative photographic process with sunlight. How does a person remember, and how does nature remember? The leaves preserve the memory of family members who perished during the Holocaust, making the tree a family tree that conveys the message of remembrance and belonging.

Parts: tree with branches, a rock, chlorophyll prints on Hosta leaves

The installation was exhibited at Light Art Festival 2024, Pécs, Hungary.
