Fading Fauna
Fading Fauna intertwines memory, extinction and nature’s own archive. Using an innovative, sustainable, cameraless process, I exposed photographs of critically endangered animals directly onto tree leaves with the Sun’s UV light. These fragile, ephemeral images, preserved for only about a decade before they fade away and this fading serves as a metaphor for the disappearance of these species. Each leaf becomes both photograph and living witness, its slow erasure echoing the disappearance of life from our planet.

How does the natural world hold the memory of what it has lost?
