Sounds of Freedom (2022) Hinterland Galerie, Vienna.
Rozina Pátkai's sound installation, 'Sounds of Freedom,' is a tribute to all the courageous women of Iran, demonstrating solidarity with them. With profound respect, it resonates with their voices as they speak and sing in their mother tongues, carrying forward the rich tapestry of Iranian language tradition.
This interactive soundmap invites visitors to immerse themselves in a symphony of cultural heritage. By delicately touching the map, a portal to enchantment opens, allowing listeners to embark on a journey through the diverse lullabies of various Iranian languages and dialects. Each melody unveils the lyrical essence of generations, fostering a deep connection to the shared human experience and underscoring the power of language as a vessel for expression and resilience.
As the harmonies gently cascade through the air, an intangible bond between past and present is forged, celebrating the indomitable spirit of Iranian women and their unwavering pursuit of freedom. Sounds of Freedom invites contemplation, evoking emotions that echo far beyond the boundaries of time and place. Through this ethereal soundscape, we are invited to reflect upon the enduring beauty and strength that emanates from the voices of those who have persevered against all odds, infusing the world with the melodies of their irreplaceable stories.

Soundscapes (2020) MODEM, Debrecen.
The Soundscape - talking pic is an interactive photography, a sound-map. The different areas of the photo make different sounds, which we can active by moving our hands towards the picture. The sounds are
electronic oscillations made by synthesis, which were added associatively to the different elements of the
photo.

Mammary (2020) Kiscelli Múzeum, IMXXX, Budapest.
A provocative statement against the body ideal of the consumer society.
They are totally different, is it OK? They are too big, is it OK? They are too
small, is it OK? They are sagging, is it OK? You can hardly see mines. They
are really not the same. Big and sagging, is it OK? I am old, is it OK? They
don’t make pairs, is it OK? They have cicatrices, is it OK? I had a surgery, is it
OK? I want to love them, is it OK?

Farewell Letters (2022) Kiscelli Múzeum, Budapest.
For this project Rozina used sustainable photography techniques, where photographs were exposed on tree leaves using the Sun's UV. After proper conservation these pictures remain visible on the leaves for approximately ten years. Farewell Letters to Nature are written to critically endangered animals who are in very high risk of becoming extinct in the following decade due to extreme climate change.

The game Zikaron examines questions of social responsibility for the Holocaust. This card-game is based on the old photo collection of the Pátkai family. The backside of the cards describe life stories, which the players will organize into their deck by following or breaking the rules.
TO THE NATION (poetry protest walk on 1st of January 2024)
My latest protest performance critiques the 'national consultation' by using large question marks cut from the questionnaire and affixed to my coat. I enhance the performance by reciting parts of 'To the Nation,' a poem by the renowned 19th-century Hungarian poet Sándor Petőfi, as I walk along the boulevard of Budapest for 54 minutes.
